Who had major say in layout of this movie

Meaning ... who amoungst those shown in movie (the real individuals) got to give feed back or was asked about themselves for the showing of their characterization in this movie?

I know Puffy and Biggie's mom gave input (perhaps the most) but did Kim, Faith, Lil Cease, or anyone else have a word in how they were portrayed or gave input to the events showcased? If u have info could u provide some sort of basic detail.

Example ~ The Hotel scene where Faith found Biggie w/ another woman. Did she provide those details (i.e. white woman, hitting the lady, etc) or perhaps it was a guest in the hotel that provided info.
