Where was Anthony Mackie's Oscar nomination?!

Dude was robbed! He portrayed 2Pac PERFECTLY! He showed how volatile and contradictory the guy really was: a crybaby who just liked to *beep* with everyone, from journalists to fellow rappers. He was a guy who would posture to get attention and compensate for his perceived lack of manhood that his cousins would mock him for as a child. Mackie WAS Pac. Dude was mad overlooked by the Academy, and by critics in general.

"Don't cry, it is to be; in time I'll take away your miseries and make 'em mine... D'Evils."

You're kidding right? Like, this is a joke.

I love Anthony Mackie. Incredible actor who has been great in The Hurt Locker (THE REAL MOVIE HE WAS ROBBED FOR!), She Hate Me, and others. But, this performance in Notorious is easily his WORST performance.

Apparently, you didn't know Tupac like you think you did. If you think Anthony Mackie's portrayal of Tupac is oscar worthy. Just because someone yells, screams and curses loudly, doesn't mean they are Tupac. There is so much more to him than that. Maybe that's all you saw when you looked at him but Tupac has never been a punk. Your mentality has no depth. Anthony Mackie's Oscar for his poryrayal of Tupac Shakur is exactly where it should be. Nonexistent.

And you know this how? I hung out with Tupac when he was younger, and know first-hand what he was like, at least pre-fame. He didn't seem to change much afterwards, and Mackie's performance, and the original poster's statements, are pretty true.

a bit off topic but what i want to know till this day and we're already in 2017 but why didnt they ever show the scene where pac tells big watch out for the media and your fake ass friends?its in the trailer! they dont even have that scene deleted or anything! hate when they do that

I feel like he was playing around too much, plus Anthony Mackie doesn't look like 2pac. He kinda looks like prodigy from mobb deep.
