shareFrom what I saw in the movie, his supervisor was right about not getting the Helsinki job. Gus lacks tact. Not a good choice for a position that needs a diplomatic flair.
It's a great movie. I think this would have never been made if 9/11 didn't occur. Shows the interesting nexus of money, politics, CIA and foreign affairs.
No other movie like it.
It also shows how Israel is in bed with Saudi Arabia and pretend to be enemies in public.
shareBest character in the movie. Phillip Seymour Hoffman (RIP) did a great job in the role, and he singlehandedly made the movie worth watching.
