So... How Does Everyone Like That Other Movie Called 'Nine' lol

I had a hard time explaining to my mom and sis that their are two movies called "Nine".

Mom was in the shop and she saw that "9" was out on DVD and she said, "I didn't know "Nine" already came out."

I tried saying that it's not the movie you're thinking about and there are two movies called nine.

ugh...

Throw "District 9" in the mix and it gets even more confusing.

I've had similar experiences with "Up" and "Up in the Air" and "A Serious Man" and "A Single Man."

I liked it a great deal, although I sort of hate having to refer to it as "the musical Nine", because I always get asked "I thought you hated 9?". But aside from that, it was better than the sh-tty "9", which I still cant get over its crappiness.

I didn't really much care for 'Nine', which is doubly weird because 'Eight and a Half' is one of my most favorite movies of all time (and I think that Daniel Day-Lewis is rad).

Seriously, watch Eight and a Half if you haven't already... brilliant, billiant film.

'Nine' is sort of a weird tribute to 'Eight and a Half', but somehow it just didn't fly for me. Something about the musical numbers... I just didn't find them to be that good. Eight and a Half is such a brilliant film that it still seems as modern as anything coming out today, despite being almost 50 years old. So, trying to do a remake of it is kind of pointless, unless you're some kind of super amazing genius who can find a way to make it work.
