Nice visual style... Good setting... Fine altogether but it could have had much better story.

Too bad the American cinema produces only movies for profits (or sometimes propaganda) and doesn't care much about art and telling actually something.

You are correct, although there is a difference between making money off of your art in hopes of continuing, versus making it purely for the money. If you are in the movie business, and you have 2 Rolls Royces and a 5 million dollar home, please don't try and pretend that all of the money you make is being reinvested into making new movies.

I sort of felt that the second poster wasn't specifically talking just about this movie anymore, but movies in general. I was more commenting on the idea that movies are supposed to make money. Sure, they are, but if that is your primary focus, you are doing it wrong.

Not really... because it's crap like Harry Potter or spiderman and make the big bucks that pay for the small independent movies, (9 was one of them) We need blockbusters to keep the wheels turning.
