If you at the characters in the movie, which would be all the main ones they all have number names, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 , and 9. So what happened to numbers 3 and 4 there are no characters with these 2 numbers, so did those two die and there is no mention of them, or are they pretending that they don't exist. There are no mention of them, and if you are having characters with numbers 1 thru 9, then does it make sense to have no robots with the names of 3 and 4?

I'm watching the film now. In an early scene after 2 has been captured, 1 walks over to an old calendar and crosses out the number 2. 3 and 4 have already been crossed out and 1 mentions that they too have died.
3 and 4 are the twins.
How could you miss that? Even if you didn't see the numbers on the front of their bodies, who did you think the twins were? Nameless randoms, just because they were the only dolls whose names weren't said?
btw, if you feel that I'm coming across as a huge *beep* that's not my intent.

3 & 4 - the archiving twins
5 - the timid cyclops
6 - the artist
7 - the female warrior
8 - the brute henchman
9 - the main character
3 and 4 are the mute, child-like twins that hang around 7. Their eyes are cameras and they catalogue and archive everything they see. Their main job is to teach and define. They're the ones who show 9 (and the audience) what happened when the machines attacked. When 7 left 1's tyrannical sanctuary, 3 and 4 went with her. After 7 distroys the Cat Beast, 3 and 4 are reunited with the others.
PlagueEleven is right, it's hard to miss them.
