HBO will be airing John Adams tomorrow( or rather today) starting at 7AM[central].

Too bad I don't get HBO anymore, but I do have the DVDs. I watched the Independence episode again last Thursday - one of the best 90 minutes of TV ever.

Are the DVD extras good? I want to get the DVD's for the behind the scenes and history extras alone.

The extras are okay. The most interesting feature is the "Facts are Stubborn Things" feature, a Pop-Up Video-style text commentary track analyzing the series's historical accuracy and dramatic license. The making-of docu is good but nothing I'd go out of my way to see. There's also a nice, fairly in-depth documentary about David McCullough.

I agree. I really find episode 2 to be outstanding. I also watched it last week and really enjoyed it all over again. So many great scenes in it!
