HBO needs to do another series similar to this focusing on Jefferson
With Stephen Dillane reprising his role. Such a phenomenal performance. Would love to see a focus on Jefferson's life with Stephen Dillane portraying him again.

shareUggh no. HBO would have a field day with Jefferson.
Come to think of it, didn't they already do a miniseries or something about Jefferson like in the 90s? I remember Nick Nolte being in it.
Hey. Lookie here. I tell stories like M. Night Comalong. - Uncle Si
I don't know about a miniseries but he played Jefferson in Jefferson in Paris.
shareI thoroughly enjoyed Dillane's role as Jefferson, and would love seeing him reprise the same role. I remember when this first aired, I was saying, why don't they create a series based on Jefferson with this actor?
Too bad they won't cast him as Jefferson in the HBO 6 part mini series "Lewis and Clark" (2016)--now filming.

I think if they do make one it should focus on his life during his retirement, there's a book called Twilight at Monticello: The Final Years of Thomas Jefferson by Alan Pell Crawford w/c could be the basis for it.

I think an honest treatment of Thomas Jefferson would be more than most Americans could bear. He had one great moment, when he wrote the Declaration of Independence. After that I think he did more damage than good for the country.
I liked the way Stephen Dillane's face fit with paintings of Thomas Jefferson and I think he portrayed the character of the man as closely as we can guess that he actually was. However, he was several inches too short. Thomas Jefferson was the same height as George Washington, give or take an inch. HBO was fortunate in that Paul Giamati was a close physical match to John Adams as well as being a very good actor.
