Thomas Adams
Was he named after Jefferson? I tried to find info on it, but there's very little on him. I know his father and Jefferson was good friends I was just wondering if anyone knows if he was named after Jefferson.
shareNo, he wasn't. Thomas was born in 1772...before Adams and Jefferson met. his actual story is also much different than the one portrayed in the film. He had serious alcohol and anger issues and died bankrupt. His wife was pretty horrifying as well. Really, the Adams posterity in general led miserable, tragic, lives. For the next three generations there was usually one individual who manage to Prosper (John Quincey, Charles Frances, and Henry), and even then their lives were full of tragedy. It's sad.
