Ive watched this great movie 2x. At the end it shows the helicopter landing and it never shows Ava getting into the helicopter. The next scene it shows the helicopter lifting off and doing a wild turn. Im thinking she killed him. With all her knowledge she could pilot it...why would the helicopter pilot pick her up? He was supposed to pick up Caleb, the same person he dropped off there?

More people want to see that pilot, family and other clients, if she kills him those people will call the police, meanwhile, nobody is expecting to see that billionaire in the near future

shareThis movie is one of my favorites. I love endings that provoke interesting questions. Did Ava kill the helicopter pilot is an interesting thought. Why would Nathan program her with those skills? Not sure I buy it. Remember Ava has never been outside, not sure she could pilot a helicopter having never been outside. On the other hand, she's an AI, computers land 747's and other commercial aircraft.
Another question I've seen, is what is Caleb's fate? Many posit that Ava couldn't afford to let Caleb out, he knows her secret. He therefore poses a threat. But why assume Caleb dies? Wouldn't people that know Caleb begin to wonder about his whereabouts? It seems like it would be a fairly straightforward matter to find Nathan's "research facility" Caleb is locked in Nathan's room, so he has water. Not sure how long you can survive without food, but it's a lot longer than surviving without water.
I think Ava knew that Caleb would eventually be rescued. But by the time he is, she's "in the wind," finding her would nearly impossible, unless Ava does something that exposes her. In any case, I like your angle!
