Why no writers credit to HG Wells?
Especially in this version where even the name of the Invisible man is taken from the Wells novel?
Money cannot buy happiness, but it can buy chocolate

Must be because it's so far removed from Wells' novel the credit would be meaningless? Or perhaps cost the studio money, unless his books are public domain. I don't know how a lot of these supposed adaptations of THE INVISIBLE MAN occurred.
Did Wells just come up with the very concept of Invisibility, and every film or story since then is automatically indebted to him?

I'm pretty sure he'd be ok with not getting the credit.
shareM._R., Why? Because where HG is hangin' out now, he won't give a hoot! I'm sure he was NOT the first man to imagine what it would be like to be 'invisible'. I've EXPERIENCED being 'invisible' for about 30 years now. I turned 40 about then! I have been invisible to the opposite sex is what I mean! lol At 71 yrs young I actually APPRECIATE that!(no rat race). When we get older and wiser, and SLOW down, we tend to appreciate a simpler NON-competitive life! Our values change. I'm actually HAPPIER now than I've ever been! BTW, I like your clever line about chocolate! Reminds me of this one... Would you rather be poor and happy or rich and miserable? The PUNCH line is...I'd rather be "relatively rich" and....MOODY! :P snicker After all, when we are living/competing in this society, isn't life one HUGE compromise after another? Ask me why I'm single and live ALONE ... lol
