nah because shanghai had something to do with them in the first 2. first it was shanghai noon and the second was shanghai knights. with the both of them.

ok this movie has nothing to do with jaakie chan or owen

it just happens to be set in shanghai like there movie, and it just happens to have shanghai in the title.
but its a romatic comedy type movie not a action with jackie chan

according to imdb jackie chan isnt currently working on making a sequel to
shanghai knights.

what doesn't matter? a short reading of plot line may suggest a sequel to the Chan-Wilsonflicks, but that is immediately put to rest when you see the character names, none of which are taken from the Chan-Wilson movies.

Remember how the Dumb and Dumber sequel replaced Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels with those two new no name guys? Well this movie is the same deal.

Owen said he'd rather kill himself than make another sequel so they gave his role to Hayden Panettiere and figured you wouldn't be able to tell the difference since they're both blonde and act about as well.
