The pick-up scenes were laughable
The dynamics were so off, not to mention the abrupt agreement of the girl to go to his place. There are some brainless bimbos out there, but they're not that easy...not even close. I get the sense that the writer do not know how male-female interactions work.
It's easy to designate a male lead as someone who is good with women, but the problem is making him believable. He was Frankenstein of a character, with many pieces that do not fit together.
