Plot hole?

Kelly Hu's character had to marry Chen Li for money to support her family so she couldn't stay with Liam. Liam gives her his house so she won't have to marry Chen Li so why don't they stay together?

He didn't stay with her because he really wasn't in love with her. Most of the movie was about how he was selfish to go to Shanghai in the first place to be with her, so when he finally learned her story and gave her such a huge gift, he had an "epiphany"--he truly loved Addie.

Agreed. And Byron Mann's charater was Jai Li/Lee, not Chen Li.

I thought the bigger plot hole is - giving Kelly Hu and family a house only solves the shelter issue

How is she still going to support a family of seven?

He sold the house and asked to transfer the deed to her name. So in a sense he gave her sixty thousand dollars.

Because he couldn't stay in China. And obviously had feelings for someone else.
