One of the last high school films.

This and Superbad (2008) are the last reality-type high school films to be made.

Major Hollywood studios has pretty much turned their back in them.

Gen Z really doesn't have a high school movie that accurately depicts life for their generation.

The unanswered question is why. (?)

THE EDGE OF SEVENTEEN WAS PRETTY GOOD.

I missed that one.

I looked up its budget, only $9 million. Most tv movies beat that.

No major releases in quite awhile.
