What the hell did that even mean? It just looked like a regular shirt to me.

The shirt was a rock n' roll stereotypical of a younger male population tshirt, so as the above poster mentioned she was implying he needed to grow up and forget his "I wanna be a rock star" dream

Vanessa is wearing an Alice In Chains t-shirt and since it has paint marks on it you can assume that the T is her working shirt. This means that and old bandshirt from the 90´s is concidered so unimportant that you can wear it while you’re painting a room.
Also I think the Alice In Chains t-shirt tells us that she met Mark at a rockclub in the 90’s so she has been around for some time and seen him ”grow up”.
Pretty sure that scene signifies that she took one his shirts and used it for dirty house work like painting. She probably made him stop wearing band shirts.
shareNope it shows that she doesn't respect his interests. That is his shirt and she ruined it with paint because she basically considered it an old rag. They expanded on that in a deleted scene.

You're all right. The AIC shirt could be hers or his, but point is she doesn't give a crap about it.
And the "your shirt is stupid line", just brings it home. He's already said he thinks 1993 is the best year for rock. He's wearing a very faded Soundgarden "Superunknown" shirt. 1994, but point being he's stuck in his glory days of being a rocker, and she finds it pathetic. "Well aren't you the cool guy." Even though he's managed to make a great living as a successful jingle composer, he's unhappy that she doesn't believe in him.

shareMark is wearing a Soundgarden t-shirt ('Superunknown'). Yeah, she is pissed thay he keeps wearing that kind of 'teenage' stuff when he's supposed to be a grown man able to be cope with fatherhood, while he is stuck a golden past.
I have to say it hurt a little to see her paint with an Alice In Chains t-shirt, haha.
I'd never mess up an AiC t-shirt : ).
But it illustrates her being a proper adult ; ).
It was all that she could think of to say at that moment that she knew would hurt him.
