can't believe I never caught it

I've seen this 10 times (judge me) and this whole time I thought Leah was Juno's stepsister.

When Juno leaves Women Now and goes to what I now know is Leah's house and she says "shhh my mom is inside!" I figured she was referring to Alison Janney.

Somehow I never caught that she wasn't present in any of the family dinner scenes or when they pile into the car when Juno's water breaks.

Don't ask me how this wasn't clear to me because I don't have the answer.

ME TOO!! I used to watch this movie all the time back in the day, and I always assumed that Leah was her step sister because she was always at the house and even went to her doctor appointments, but looking at the movie yesterday she was just her best friend.
