Hugh Jackman as Max Payne?

Mark Wahlberg was an okay choice, but if they were ever going to do a reboot (which they probably won't), I think Hugh Jackman should be considered to portray Max Payne. I believe he could do a much superior job. I like Wahlberg but let's face it, his acting range is very limited and Jackman is a much better actor. He's been up for Oscar's...

Besides I've always thought that Hugh Jackman would ROCK as MP. Anybody else agree? Yay or nay?

I'd go with someone like Luke Evans or Dominic West.

If you want my personal opinion I'd think he'd do an okay job as Max.

I agree, Waken. Jackman has the voice, the emotions, the looks, etc. He would have done much better than Wahlberg, IMO.

Then again, I think this movie sucked mostly because of horrible writing and bad directing... not so much the cast.

Mark whalberg was a terrible choice. Watched it again since it came out and max Payne is a tortured soul, whalberg doesn't look tortured. He's clean cut acting like himself.

Hugh Hackman could pull it off, but I'm afraid he would be too much like wolverine.

I agree. In my opinion, Michael Shannon or Tom Hardy could fit for the movie.

I agree; I think Hugh Jackman could have pulled it off somehow. He has that depressing monotone but confident voice, the sad look and appearance of Max Payne. He could have been excellent. Even though he's Australian, he plays American roles well and could still pull off on playing Payne much better than Wahlberg did.
