Overdosed on the red imagery

First of all let me just say...I think Julia Stiles is a very good actress and was the perfect 'it' girl (at the time) to take on the Lee Remick role. She has the class and certainly the voice that Remick had and I also feel she brought a tiny bit of her own persona to the role. Second, unlike a lot of people on this board...I LIKED this remake. Yes, it's pretty much frame by frame a carbon copy...but that didn't bother me. Personally I think the kid in the first Omen was MUCH scarier than this one. NOW...here's my issue. WOW--the director TOTALLY overdid it on the red imagery! Red birthday baloons, a red banner, red flowers, a red robe, heck--even a red spraying water bottle! WE GET IT...Damien is evil and something bad is about to happen! LOL!

Dammit Carol Sue, where is the vodka?!
