What a watered-down, unnecessary remake.
Although, I did enjoy seeing Ms. Farrow on the big screen, again. ---- [giveup]

Agree. I preferred the original nanny too, a lot more menacing and had the best line in the picture "fear not little one, I am here to protect thee"
shareAt least the nanny was one thing that they did that was set apart from the original. Yes she was not menacing like in the original. I think in this movie they were trying to do the whole wolf in lamb's clothing idea. In the original you knew something was off with the nanny right from looking at her but Mia Farrow's Mrs. Baylock puts on this extreme sunny demeanor that hides her real intentions. And she says all the right things when talking to Kate and Robert. Although I guess you still sense something is off when Kate says she didn't receive her resume.
The scary clown doll is hiding under my bed.
But I thought today's audiences didn't like corniness in movies anymore.
You want to play the game, you'd better know the rules, love.
