I couldn´t stop laughing through the entire film, the caracter Paul Giamatti plays reminded me of Gargamel from the Smurfs, the carrot fetish, the misogynist jokes, and the sex scene, oh the sex scene! it was the best comic scene ever! American pie? Scary movie? Nope, this is humor! This could have been a great hit in the 80's!

I have no idea about Smurfs -- never watched.
The bad guy seemed misplaced -- was a nerd looking kook, not tough -- that might have been the point. Is that why were laughing?
