The part that I thought was really sweet....

was when that one black kid, who I'm sure was a gang member and had seen many friends die, tenderly and gently escorted Miep Gies into his classroom. He very proudly escorted her in and was so sweet to her. If she ever needed to go somewhere outside the school, he, along with the rest of the guys from the class, probably would have escorted her for protection and jumped anyone who tried to mug her.

I just really liked that part. I thought it was really sweet. Wasn't he the one who stood up and said that she was his hero??

I had a hard time holding in my tears when he stood up and said... "I have never had a hero before, but you are my hero."
Something about this big tall black guy, with a football players stature, looking down on this little old frail woman and saying YOU ARE MY HERO.
It was very moving.
