Imelda's character was Margaret (the stingy old lady). I don't know about anyone else, but I could not stand her! She had no right talking down to students like she did not caring about their success when she didn't even know what they had been through. Great acting by Imelda Stauton by the way, I just disliked her character.

You're SUPPOSE to dislike her! She's a one-dimensional villain that is there to hinder the hero in her efforts to make things better.
Absolutely, but I think that was the point, wasn't it? The scene when she is arguing against Ms. Gruwell moving with her class for their Junior year was intense. I was watching for her to have a heart attack right on the desk. It would be nice if that kind of person could have just as much passion about helping to make positive changes in their chosen profession.

Can you blame her? Most of the students were ghetto and lacked any potential. I wouldnt want to waste my good books knowing its going to be destroyed. Some of them need to learn their ABCs.
It's sadder to know that people like her exist in teaching and more so in administration. As a current ED student, I can't wait to get out there and deal with cock blocks like her.
She made me chuckle, actually. I thought she was amusing, with her antics. A real bug-up-her-ass type.
shareYeah she was almost over the top hostile. It was pretty funny. She goes from "this is how we do things and I'm only going to tell you once" to an immediate dislike the second time she talks to Erin. That scene where she just walks off while Erin's talking about the field trip was hilariously rude.
