Seriously, what is this crap?

This dude goes throughout the entire movie cracking that moronic smile and saying "Howdie" every time a captor sticks a gun in his STUPID face. Is this realistic? I understand being brave, but only an unhinged lunatic could maintain this kind of cavalier attitude under the circumstances. This movie was idiotic. I thought I was going to get a tense behind-the-enemy lines drama. Instead I get a bunch of imbecile hippies chatting out in the woods. To hell with this. Gave up halfway. Wasted enough of my time.

I don't care if it is fact-based or not, whiny "family member" notwithstanding. As a movie, it was useless.
