How original was the music?

To the extent that Martin Phipps' score captured the mood and darkness of the film, I cannot criticize it. But surely it was just a revamp of the more popular outpourings of Arvo Part such as Fratres and Tabula Rasa. Should composers be allowed to present their work as original when it is so blatantly just copying the work of another composer?

I cannot agree more,

as the film opened i was enthralled by the music, but a while later i realised this guy was totally ripping off Arvo Part's 'Alina' album. (i think)

good film,
shame about the blatant music copying thingy whatever..
