Depends what way you look at it, all the above is detailed (albeit not the bit about government officials) in various book, this simply uses a slant with an anti death penalty feel.
Certainly regurtiated stuff really.
I recently read a book about the dynasty, it quotes John Hurts unflateering portrait of Pierrpoint too.
I guess to do the job, you've gotta be a bit odd.
