I am not a doctor. Is there anyone here who is?

Was there anything wrong with Monroe's brain after he fell?

The impression I had was there was nothing wrong and that Laing told Monroe that there may be a problem to get revenge and therefore, Laing was responsible for MOnroe's suicide.

Same thing I thought. Didn't he say he wanted to take with down a notch? I took the false diagnosis as the take down.

Yep, the brain scans came back clean but Laing wanted to take Munrow down a peg and planted the thought of something being wrong with the scans.
