Why did the Queen still want to kill Giselle?

After she found out Giselle wasn't in love with the prince. I thought she was afraid to lose her queen title surely Giselle falling in love with someone else acts in her favour? As that means she would remain a queen. The most logically thing the queen could have done was offer Giselle the chance to stay in the real world... I don't understand what was the purpose of turning into a dragon and kidnapping Robert...

also she was clearly a bit bored with her life. she needed a focus other than kicking her faithful puppy dog

Because the Prince had just said that he was going to take away her position of power- we can assume that that still stands, even if Giselle doesn't love him because thee queen betrayed him.
