Why Was Narissa Attired So Provocatively?

Of course there's the low-cut bodice which capitalizes on Sarandon's ample cleavage; but there's also the streamlined, corseted waistline, in contrast to hips broadened by layers of shimmery scales. Finally, the front hemline is slashed upward to reveal tall, chunky-heeled boots.

Queen Narissa is obviously not out to attract male attention--simply to rule by magic--so I was just wondering....

Because she likes them?
Seriously, women mostly don't dress for men. We dress for ourselves and eachother. If sexy clothes were just to attract men, women wouldn't wear them to go out dancing at gay clubs.

Good answer! And it fits -- she wants to be seen as magnificent as she is powerful, so that's how she dresses.

But don't underestimate the power that beautiful women have over men. Her servant was her willing slave because he was hopelessly, despairingly in love with her, not because of some magic reptile blood she poured on him.

Narissa did strut through Times Square with "I'm all that" written all over her. For herself, and in keeping with the image she wanted to project, the Queen's attire succeeded magnificently.

reply

She's an evil queen, she's SUPPOSED to be sexually provocative to contrast with the chaste, innocent princess.
