isn't nancy a disney princess?

she married prince edward at the end. pls help. thanks.

reply

Absolutely!
Royal marriage provides a royal title!

reply

But she isn't the heroine

reply

She also didn't sing...

And although she's a princess, she's not a disneyprincess because they didn't have permission to use her image - just like Amy Adams.

You're entitled to your opinion as long as I'm entitled to mine. And this is mine!

reply

They didn't want to pay royalties to amy adams for her likeness for life is why her character didn't make it.

reply

Technically, yes, she is a Disney Princess, but never received the title since she was such a minor character. Maybe both she and Giselle will gain the title in the sequel.

reply

i secretly wished Idina would have sung since she's had a past with musicals ya know? but oh well :(

That's what I heard, too.

I think they should just alter the character-as-drawn so they won't have to pay the royalties, and then go on to make the characters more permanent members of the disney clan. Just tell the kids "oh so what if they've changed a little". Amy Adams and Idina Menzel will make their money off the live action parts of the stories.

She's sure made up or that now.

reply

She's actually a queen! Idina Menzel has played two Disney Queens!

reply

Technically, since she was a commoner before she married Edward and not royalty or nobility, her title would be "Queen Consort."

She did once she got married to the Prince, but not really before then. And it does seem to be a rule that only a prince can marry a princess. Not sure if it is a real rule, but Disney has changed it for a couple of movies.
