***SPOILERS***

The final season was average, but the season finale was pretty good and emotional. Like with all Hollywood deaths, Dean's speech to Sam was just way too long, bordering on comical. No emotional impact. But Dean and Sam reuniting again was nice. This is good show with some really really bad moments.

First 5 seasons were outstanding, and then it went from good to really bad to more bad and then back to good and so on. The Leviathan season was forgettable. Female death is a joke, compared to male death played by Julian Richings. He was incredibly intimidating. I guess he stole the show and the showrunner(s) did not like that.

I only started watching this series last year, and will continue to watch it ad infinitum.

Frankly the last episode felt like a spoof of the show, I mean the actions of Dean were just out of place as if he had been possessed by a fan or something... I mean why did they suddenly become so lackadaisical even the back ground music didn't sound right.

Agree that the first 4 or 5 seasons were amazing, and that it became pretty average from then on. Although I like the character of Castiel and think he was a great addition to the show, I never quite liked the angel, Metatron and Chuck arc lines. On the other hand, I understand that the writers couldn't write monster of the week and deals with yellow-eyed demons forever, otherwise it would get boring fast.

Anyway, I love the Winchester bros and the supporting characters so much that I couldn't stop watch the show even in the latest seasons, I'm already missing them.

I was incredibly pissed off about the way they wrote Dean's death.
After fighting all the monsters, demons and angels, Amara and Chuck himself failing in a level 1 quest with some shitty vamps is just beyond stupid to me. Dean should have died in a car accident or smth.

The first 5 seasons were the show's pinnacle. Season 6 and 7 I enjoyed but specially with season 6 you could kinda tell they didn't know what to do, since beating the Devil was supposed to be the last big thing and the show was supposed to end at Season 5. Season 7 is one of the more underrated seasons in my opinion. it strips away a lot of the elements we have come to know and love yet still retains its core.

The Jeremy Carver seasons: 8, 9, especially 10, and 11 aren't that good. And Season 10 is atrocious. I seriously to this day still not believe Season 10 got rid of the show's best plot line in YEARS within the first 3 episodes. It gets better in the second half of 11 but it doesn't make up for a stale first half.

12 renewed my interest in the show, 13 was solid, 14 was really good, and 15 was a nice little throwback season while still being its own thing. Mixed feelings on the finale but endings are hard. I've learned to accept that when it comes to endings for beloved franchises and shows, you get what you get and you have to move on. No use crying over spilled milk.
