So, thoughts on this episode

I was kind of digging until I realized the Dean's buddy was that guy. I think as soon as he brushed off the victim I knew. I hate that! I was hoping it wasn't gonna be him. But the singing part was fun. And the Russian telling Castiel "How Russian of you" right as my roommates were watching...... We all laughed because at least one of us would do something of this sort. I still can't shake that Chuck/God isn't actually God. Are he and Amara brother/sister like how Christians say a fellow congregant is a brother or sister or are they more like mythological brother/sister with someone like Kronos (or in this case actual God) are their father? Someone else brought up the question about what would happen to the planet, maybe universe, if Chuck is killed and he is indeed God. Very curious here. Thoughts?

Some are saying he might not be God. I could see Gabe pulling some stunt like this seems right up his street. If its not God, then who could it be pretending to be him? I would love to know what sent God down this path of creating all these worlds, just for fun and entertainment and putting the boys through terrible, unthinkable hell for years. God deserves the ending that's coming to him, for what he's done.

They are both brother and sister. I have thought the same questions about what would happen to the planet/universe if the boys end up killing Chuck. Maybe they don't and just banish him to another planet powerless like Death was going to do with Dean. Then everything would remain the same. Killing God would really upset the natural order of things as Death always used to say. He even said he would end up killing God, so as its written, will it happen?

DiToA did you used to be on IMDb because I seem to remember your name?

I was on there, but not much.

I think this episode was kind of a preview to Dean of what his life might have been were he not a hunter. That is why they had someone like Kane play the character and gave it away from the start.

Look, what we now know as "God" or "Yahwe", used to have a wife, a family and a whole plethora of sub-deities. It's possible that the writers did some research, mixed it up et voila - Amara. Maybe she'll take Chuck's place, in case a deity is needed for the universe to work. She's grown fond of Earth.

So you are saying the Universe as we know it, could survive if they kill off GOD?

reply

Possibly. It survives right now, with him weaker than he used to be. But they'll probably have Amara replace him
