Season 7 of Supernatural
Another hated season...maybe it's because people dont like Dick.
From my first watch and even this time around, I like the leviathan storyline, mainly because it was different and branched off from season 6's purgatory storyline. There wasn't much Cas in this season, but it's not like the previous seasons had him constantly around, even like today's seasons, Cas comes and goes and he's even a main character.
There were a few episodes that were mostly more focused on comedic acts that kind of dragged it down. Like Shut Up Dr Phil, or S7 It's Time for a Wedding, which I don't even think that wedding episode was the worse episode of the season, or of the entire show: that honor goes to Bitten and Route 666, at least for me. Anyways, I thought this season had a good set up of big bads and the boys working with Bobby more.
Lucifer is back.........boo. But it's not technically really Lucifer, it's inside Sam's head. Which leads me to my least liking episode, which a lot of people love, must be because Cas is in it: The Born-Again Identity. So, Sam is out at night like an idiot and gets hit by a car...so it leads him to being in a psych ward. To me, none of this episode made sense, nor did I like it. Sam insanity is based on his time in hell, but he sees Lucifer bantering him constantly. That's terrifying to you? I just think there is more they could've done with Sam's soul PTSD..... Also, the return of BFF "Meg" was hard to deal with. The way she talked and her lines were unbearable. However, I did like the introduction of Kevin.
It was very sad and a bummer, Bobby was killed off. However, I liked him being a ghost and still being a hunter and wished we had more episodes of that before his vengeful side came out.
I liked the introductions of Garth, Charlie, Frank and Kevin.
However, I thought the last two episodes ran out of steam. They barely did anything. It was boring at times. For the most part I liked the season finale and thought it had one of best cliffhangers of the show, but the leviathans storyline felt like it was more comedic vs. being a real threat and that was disappointment. I think my skin crawled when "Meg" said, ...home nuggets. I actually cheered when Crowley's demons/he got her. Also, I was surprised "again" to see her step out of the Impala.....I even rewind to see and it looked like only two figures were in the front seat, who looked like Dean and Sam...so I'm not sure what was the point or idea there. I guess the boys drove the Impala and then Cas zapped "Meg" in and the boys out...
