Did they completely ignore the "wayward sister" story in this season?

I think I remember Jodie and/or Donna mentioned, "the girls" but I remember reading "they" were going to continue their story in SPN and I dreaded seeing Claire again, but it didn't happen and I'm not complaining. Best thing about this season imo.

It didn't fly. I think they realized that way too many shows and movies, spun off with female characters, tend to bomb.
