The craziness of last night's episode

She's never done very much for me sorry. I had wished they had bought someone else back instead. Crowley, now I would be yelling out loud!

Crowley, Jo, Ellen, Eileen, Garth, Benny or even Ruby would have been better as they would have all of had better story potential than Charlie.


Bringing Charlie back here, well nothing against Felicia Day, but it just felt like fan service for fan service sake, which is fine. Charlie was okay in her first episode and okay until the end of her second for me, after that not my favourite character.

But bringing Charlie back on a recurring basis and make alt-her akin to as Charlie was (which a lot of people seem to want) and then team her up with say Mary or Jody? Well, I'd see Charlie rubbing Mary up the wrong way and same with Jody and her girls.

Basically...I can't see the female characters as they presently are falling for Charlie in the same way the boys have unless they completely rewrite them. So if Charlie comes back they need to do some major work with her character.

The writers hadn't developed that story back then about Gabe, it's a new thought that had developed. I liked that twist and it was plausible and creative in the way he came back. But memory is poor, that I thought we saw his wings, which means he's dead, dead. How did the writers over come this one unless Gabe magicked those faked wings also?

I felt Charlie was always full of her own importance, her own story and when she used to say 'Bitches' for some reason rubbed me up the wrong way. I remember IMDb talking about her that she was Robbie's socket puppet and that she was his baby just desperately wanting attention. I agree with fishpan that she was just bought back as fan service because she is a popular character and the fans love her. I think the writers felt bad about the way they had killed her off, and it was a way to redeem how they were really feeling if that makes sense. I think the fandom is divided over Charlie she's like Marmite, you either love her or hate her. To me she just seemed to be a head of the leads thinking that the show was about her, and not Sam and Dean.
