So, what are we thinking this week's ratings will be?

My guess is . . . 1.62

I wondered if I was being too generous too, but after last week, I thought the numbers might go up. I'm glad they didn't.
I'm wondering if word spread across the country like wild fire not to watch it and if that had any kind of impact at all by the time it was shown on the West Coast.

I think that it was made known very quickly on social media what a bad episode this was so half the country got to decide if they wanted to sit thru junk. A lot decided not to. If it had been a good episode and the buzz had been good, IMO the ratings would have held or probably ticked up a little.

Yeah, usually, I'd say that SM has a very small role to play on the ratings for this show, but the response was so overwhelmingly negative, I have to wonder.

I've read a comments on other sites and it seems some people decided not to watch because they heard bad things about the episode. I'm really curious to see what kind of numbers we're going to get for the finales, and especially the difference between episode 22 and episode 23. I'm not seeing an overwhelming amount of excitement for now. Of course that will probably change as promo pics, sneak peeks and other trailers start trickling in. I will say for myself that it's the first time I'm not excited about a finale since season 6.

Yeah, I feel really bad for saying this, but I think they killed the show. It's sort of been teetering all season, and I know that I was annoyed throughout, but I was really trying to stay level-headed and wait to see how it all played out in the end. Here we are at the end, and the set up for the final 2 episodes isn't good. It's just not. And I think that even if there are massive changes BTS over the summer (something I hope happens, but not something I expect), I don't think it'll make much difference to the ratings.

Sometimes when you lose fans, you lose them for good, and that's what I think will happen going into season 13. This show has been on long enough for it to lose fans throughout, but in the past there was something there to bring in new people or to bring people who stopped watching back, so it evened out. I just don't see any of these storylines bringing in new fans or bringing old fans back to offset the number of people who are just going to leave and not come back.

The last I looked IMDB rating for this episode is 5.5 I don't know if I have ever seen a rating that low for SPN.

I had hoped for 300 episodes but I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to end with 13 episodes next season. If they can't improve the writing over this disaster of a season, I'm OK with that. Let Jensen get a different gig.

It can't leave on this note. It has to get better before it ends, or it'll destroy the show's legacy. Amusing that they brought that question up earlier this season, 'What's their legacy going to be?' Well, if things don't get better, then this will be their legacy, not all the good things that this show used to have.
