Was wondering if Michael might make an appearance. Maybe not this year but next.

Lucifer recently said that Michael was a drooling mess. But we all know what he says and what is actually the truth is somewhat unclear. Dean picked up the pieces of the Michael's lance and carried them back to the bunker. At the time I thought maybe he would be the one to use it against Lucifer since he's Michael's vessel. But what if it will be the real Michael.

Just speculating.

I'd love to see Michael, because I think there's more story there for them to delve into than there is with Lucifer. In fact, I would've preferred them to get Michael out of the cage instead of Lucifer, but they didn't, and I don't think they plan on doing it either (Unless this goes past 300 episodes. I'm less and less sure that it will). Also, Chuck said something about Michael not being up for confronting Amara, which sort of confirmed what Lucifer said about him.

I think anything could happen, and with the appearance of the Lance there is a definite connection and would be a shame if they didn't go there. Lucifer and Michael are brothers just like Sam and Dean. And I can see a battle ahead between them both. I could imagine a real showdown and something bad happening because of it. The writers wouldn't just bring in that Lance for nothing without thinking about it without allowing Michael to show his face. It's been a long time coming, and I think many fans have been wanting this to happen. This could be that time.

Okay, but if they bring Michael back and have him have a showdown with Lucifer, that's the Apocalypse Dean and Sam tried to stop in season 5, the one that would have wiped out half the planet. If they're planning to go there, then I'm all for it . . . you know, turn this into a post-apocalyptic show, but I don't think they will go there. It's too expensive unless they can find a way around it and still make it look good. If they bring Michael back and don't plan to have an apocalypse, then there's really no point in bringing him back until Lucifer is gone. Once Lucifer is dealt with they can do something with Michael, but that's really only if the show is planning to go past 300 episodes and needs something else.

I'm thinking of a sibling rift. We know how the brothers keep secrets. On other show's they've had brother battles before. Hissy fits, whatever you want to call it. I wasn't necessarily thinking of an Apocalypse. Just a real battle between the two characters since they have a lot of post history to sort out. Lucifer always has had beef with Michael, and they spent years in the cage together. What a back story it would be if we got an insight into those times. How gory it would be, and how hissy it would be. The power they both have between them. Remember when Amara want to attract God's attention and she was only showing us a surface of what she was really capable of. The power between two archangels would be phenomenal. Doing a rinse and repeat of Swan Song isn't what I want to see. I want a proper sibling showdown, maybe even a sacrifice to save the planet, but not on that scale of Swan Song.

I agree Bella that they could explore it as Michael was the only one who could defeat Lucifer and as a crazy arch Angel things could get heated fast. We may even find out where Adam went on to.
