What happened to Michael?

I'm on season 11 episode 10. San went to the cage, but Lucy was the only one occupying it. Did Michael\Adam escape

It wasn't THE cage. Rowena brought Lucifer from THE cage to that cage. That's why Michael wasn't there.

Oh, I see. I thought it was the same as they look like exact replicas.
