Here's the plot for 12.20 - Alicia Banes (guest star Kara Royster) calls Mary (guest star Samantha Smith) for help after her mother, Tasha (guest star Alvina August), goes missing. Sam answers Mary's phone and he and Dean head out to help Alicia and her twin brother, Max (guest star Kendrick Sampson), find their mother who was hunting a powerful witch. Meanwhile, Mary starts to have some doubts about the British Men of Letters.

" Meanwhile, Mary starts to have some doubts about the British Men of Letters. "

I'm sorry but that line made laugh out loud.

It's taken her long enough to admit she has DOUBTS. Dean could have told her that ages ago. These again sound like basic, monster of the weeks, how about some Mythology once in a while, please. Have they finished filming yet? just wondering.

"It's taken her long enough to admit she has DOUBTS."

To have no doubts about them until now? You'd think finding Sam in the state he was in after Toni was done with him would have done that.

And let's not forget how badly they screwed up in The Raid.

Precisely on both counts Cluess. Knowing how affected Sam was by Toni and what she had put him through, it would have sent alarm bells ringing in her head. But that once talking with Mick didn't appear to deter her from signing a deal. It feels like she doesn't have a conscience at this point to allow herself to fall into such delicate territory where her sons are concerned. Since she says FAMILY is everything to her, why on earth did she go there in the first place is beyond me. Any Mother wouldn't have even contemplated it let alone go along with it. Mary is really screwing up since she came back. She has admitted as much herself. So why does she continued to screw up?? I loved Mary to start with, but at the rate she is going she is heading into dark waters and that bothers me. How far she will go...

She doesn't really. She's very much of the mentality, 'Well, I'm the parent. I know what's best for you,' despite her telling Dean that she wasn't just a Mom and all the rest of it. She doesn't want to be painted with that brush and yet she's behaving like one with 2 grown men, one of whom is almost a decade older than she is supposed to be.
