Barney- let's face is, this show would be really weak without him.
Robin- loved watching her journey from the beginning to the end.
Ted- I know a lot of people don't like him, and sometimes I didn't either, but he was obviously a very essential part of the show.
Marshall- funny at times, dumb a lot of other times.
Lily- annoyed me most of the time

marshal (such a positive true friend who only knows to give)
Ted (developed a little sympathy for the guy...everyone treated him like an expandable other than marshal )
robin (she was alone before she was alone after but she was strong)
barney (a selfish sociopath)
lily (the worst thing about HIMYM ...nothing even comes close)
