Why were ghost whisperers drawn to Grandview?

I don't know if they ever figured that out. Maybe they were lured in by gabriel to take Melinda down?

I’ve only watched up to season 3 but I’ve seen spirits all my life like Melinda. I do know some places around the world have more energy and naturally draw certain people and spirits to it. I haven’t seen the whole series yet so could be wrong but areas with portals could be a cause too. Portals are very real and they can be opened as well as closed. They too draw spirits and humans like a magnet.

One example is some of us at one point in our life have been somewhere and you get almost a deja vu feeling. Kinda like you are coming home. It’s a familiar comfortable feeling like you belong. That’s the best way I can describe it. Your physical body energy or make up inside you connects with were you are. I don’t know if that makes sense.

If we're to believe that these disembodied spirits do exist, then it's not a stretch to think that the afterworld is not physical in nature. IOW, maps, streets, doors, etc. mean nothing.

If a spirit has the ability to move about, I would think it could be anywhere in the word on a whim. I would say in this TV show anyway, the spirits were drawn to Melinda, not the town.

Yes, I'm aware some of the spooks seem surprised when they realize Melinda can see them, but I think that's a function of different writers over the years.
