i have started watching from this season and i was wondering if i were to watch past seasons which was the best?

Season 2 no questions asked for me.

I think by trying to get really smart but absolutely social awkward geeks, and really beautiful girls with no brains at all, isn't that great of a casting decision. Season 2 seemed to have at least moderate intelligent beauties and socially ok geeks and it made for a better and funnier watch.

4th season. The best, funnier, coolest by far.

last season was my favorite by far. i love jasmine and dave sooo much! i enjoyed that the most, i think it was the 4th season cause im pretty sure this seasons the 5th. so whichever 1 was last season.

Yeah, 4th season was awesome. That got me hooked to this show.

I liked Jasmine and Dave the best too. Shay being the mother figure of Joshua was hilarious too. And the twist with Sam, a male beauty, was fun to watch too. Metro Man. hahaha But yeah BED HEAD was better.

Season 2 was my favorite. Granted, I haven't seen Season 1, but I LOVED Josh (Cher's partner) from season 2. It was really great seeing him win (even though I hated Cher). I think Season 5 is total crap and I don't think I'll watch the next season.

Season 2 is definitely the best one ever, it had the funniest geeks and the beauties were the most memorable. Also, the challenges were very entertaining in the 2nd season. Season 1 was ok but the show was still in it's early stage so it was kind of blah at times, although I haven't watched it since it premiered like 3 years ago, and the only memorable person on season 1 was Richard (by far the geekiest contestant on BATG EVER). And IMO the show kinda started to go downhill in season 3 because that season had the bitchiest most shallow beauties ever, well for the most part although some were ok but that's the season with the infamous Cecille which kinda killed the whole season for me. Season 4 was decent but I just thought that all of the best geeks and beauties left early, although I did like Dave and Jasmine they just weren't even on my top 5 list in the beginning of the season and I wasn't a fan of Sam because ugh I can't stand metrosexual guys.

I think each season had their fair share of "memorable geek/beauty," in season 1 Richard was one to stand out the most. Second season would probably be Cher, because she is probably of the few whose IQ was highest than all of the forthcoming beauties or ones before her. And her geek, Josh, in some ways, was no way near forgettable. Season 3's most memorable, unfortunately, is, like deepwound said, the infamous Cecille. And probably Nate. He was a fan favorite after all. Season 4, however, is Sam and Nicole--simply because of the "controversial" role reversals. And Joshua. He just seemed like one of the geeks, only less annoying, who could rival Richard in terms of being the geekiest.

This is how I would rank my personal favorites though:

Season 2 (Had the best cast, and holds my favorite B&TG winners)
Season 1 (The outcome was disappointing, but definitely a memorable season, all that because of Richard)
Season 4 (Favorites left too early, and Sam's "winning" reign annoyed me to no end)
Season 3 (The clique definitely ruined it for me)

I'm enjoying season 5 thus far, not all of the girls are conceited and "dumb". Whoever did this season's casting should be given credit, except when they brought Amber and Randi to the show. It has a strong cast and definitely has potential to be one of the best seasons so far.
