Instead of eliminations, how about points!

Since everybody seems to hate eliminations, how about a new system where points are awarded for each challenge based on how well each person did.

For example, Dr. Drew felt Tommy was the best so he gets 10 points and the rest get ranked and points accordingly. Then at the end of the show, the team with the most points wins.

This way, everyone gets to stay the whole show and people will stop complaining “I’m not watching anymore, all the good teams are gone! How dare they lose" blah blah...

Problem is when the bad teams stays too. No chance of them ever going till the end. And they never really have an incentive to stay in the house more than elimination...ok maybe the money, but other than that which is 1/8 or something chance of winning , staying in the house for another week is the next best thing.

It's a great idea. One idea behind this show - and other reality shows too - is that the players need to improve. That's one reason they're there. Yet what happens? The players who need the most help are often the one's eliminated fast. I think it's reasonable to say that there's not much difference between a lot of the teams except luck and alliances. If you make an enemy who votes against you, it don't matter that "you still need to be there."

So, yeah, points could be interesting. So-called "bad teams" - whatever that means: teams we don't like? teams where one person isn't trying? teams where they're not cooperating? - could be good teams.

Can anyone reasonably say that those Geeks and Beauties already voted off were that much more "undeserving" than than those still on? A lot of it was just luck.

That’s a good point. They mostly make it to the end on alliances/luck, not by who has made the best “transformation” (as the host tries to say at the end of the season).

But I guess reality shows are so fixated on eliminating people all the time that this isn’t likely to change. Even though this show in particular would be better without eliminations.

Or there's always an option for nation to vote. Like in Big Brother here in UK. Then 6astards will be eliminated very very fast. Problem, though, that show must go in real time.

I feel the exact same way.
The teams that really need the help are the teams that lose the competitions. Not because they don't try, but because they aren't ready yet, etc.

Going off topic: It's the exact same with Biggest Loser. The people that need to lose more weight are kicked off because they lost the least amount. Where's the help they need? A point system on both would benefit all the players and the fans.

well you could just give the winning team a prize in every round, i mean the points system can stay and it gives lower teams incentive to want to keep playing
