Seasons 4+5: ugly beauties - you don't get it, do you?

Why do you people can't read between the lines?

In seasons 4 and 5 show became more than just "Beauty and the Geek", it's became some kind of guide for the real life. Haven't you noticed those people around you who THINKS they are pretty? For about 10 years it has become less about being beautiful and more about putting yourself right

EXAMPLE. In my study class we have those 2 girls... Jesus. One is just so plain and invisible (as a person), other one has a nose with size of my fist. But... they dress really good, they use a lot of make-up, they do expensive haircuts and they MAKE people think they are beautiful and important! And..? It's working! They became popular (well, its not a high school, but still) thanks only to themself. But I'm not buying it...

My point is. In seasons 4 and 5 when we saw many hideous women, what was that? It was a real life. Many people are successful in society because of their self-esteem. Start to think that you're hot and then make people around you think the same. The show taught us that what its gonna be if you take away beauties' self-esteem and they're gonna have nothing. Great personality and brains? Hell, NO. So do they have for real? NOTHING. And seasons 4 and 5 have shown us that. Everybody can be "beautiful", because people are buying it as long as you do.

You can easily judge them sitting in front of your tv, but do you react the same outside your house, huh?

I've not seen S 4&5 but I know what you mean in real life.

There are definitely a lot of girls/women out there who are all tarted up with the fake nails, tan, hair, make up etc and are supposedly 'beautiful' but actually when you look at them they are so NOT! I'm generalising here but these people tend to be quite vacant/vapid who believe the way they look is the only thing that matters.

The real beauties are those who don't need all these fancy trappings to make themselves appear pretty.

And don't even get me started on the fact that 'beauty' should come from within! There are lot of nice people out there who get ignored because they are not considered attractive. It's good to try to make yourself look the best you can but it's not the MOST important thing in the world.

It's good for them to act like this... because not everybody can be brave enough to do this, in situation when you don't have pretty face but you make everybody think that you do :)

I'm pretty sure men can see through 'fake beauty'...the guy I'm dating definately knows how to spot them...he sees the fake nails, hair extentions, pancake makeup and says "look at all those bitches thinking that they look hot...yuck". He has pretty good taste too...Camille Guaty, Natalie Portman. Guys aren't that stupid.
