THEEEEE most annoying part of the movie...with the exception of the the El Dia de Mi Suerte concert toward the end (when the arena was mostly empty), you can literally count the seconds the camera shifts to her either reacting, smiling, dancing or looking STUPID during EVERY SINGLE musical number! She'll either appear between 4-15 seconds...my wife & I had a laugh about it! I felt like she was ramming herself down the audiences throats (after all, she was Producer...I can just hear her telling the director "show ME, dammit!")...J.Ho SUCKS!!!!

No no no. She's on the screen so much because she produced the movie, 1, and 2, the movie was supposed to be as much about her as about him...
I had absolutely no emotions about j. lopez before seeing this and am kind of shocked by the frenzy of hating her here. Still, I was REALLY ANNOYED by the constant cutting away to shots of her supposedly showing how much she was feeling the music...yet all her scenes like this were the same and they added nothing to the characters.
I thought her performance as a whole was just okay, maybe worse than that. A better actress could have brought so much more to the role. I didn't get a clear sense of why these people loved each other. The whole movie was just screaming, drugs, concerts, screaming, drugs, concerts, repeat. The only part that got a little more moving and complex was his temporary delving into faith, and i am not saying this because i'm religious, to the contrary, just thought it was the only part where Hector revealed himself and where there was character development.
Otherwise it was just J.Lo, J.Lo J.Lo trying tear up the scenery. What I got out of this movie was that if their real lives were anything like the movie, that man needed to get rid of that woman. I'd like to know more about the real people.
I think you guys are just blinded by your obvious hatred of Lopez. I'm not a fan of Lopez as a "singer", but I think she's ok as an actress. I thought she was great in El Cantante. I'm not sure why you guys don't acknowledge that she was awesome in this movie.
