Black and white format killed it
It's said that the first Sin film had a very low budget and that they saved a fortune using a black and White format; they didn't want to have to make budget by skimping on a decent cast. On this second film, they should have eliminated a couple of the more over rated high dollar actors and shot in full color. So many of the potential ticket buyers didn't want to see another black and white film and just didn't go. There is a reason why less than 1% of full feature films are attempted in black and white.
