I hate how Obi-Wan is ALWAYS a sarcastic jerk

This show pretty much made Kenobi entirely based on the intro to episode 3.

Kenobi is known to have sarcastic wit, even in ep 4 he jabs at uncle owen and han a bit, but he is also a very driven and serious person who knows when to handle business.

Same with the prequels, he has several scenes where he shows some dry wit but he also knows how to fulfill his duties with class. Intro to ep 3 is the only time Kenobi feels artificial and over the top.


In clone wars he is not only laughably over the top but is a sarcastic jerk 90% of the time and when he isn't being a jerk, he is still saying every line in the same exact sarcastic tone. He comes off as extremely pompous and arrogant, not a classy, composed intellectual with a sense of humor.

This show is really good, but they failed on every level with obi-wan.


I guess the only explanation is that war has brought out the worst in him, but it still doesn't make up for his characterization.
