Voices and accents in the show

So, after letting the first episode scare me off for a little while, I've been watching the show lately and been quite happy with it. There are some filler episodes, which is to be expected, but it's awesome to see more of the universe.

However what the hell is up with the accents?? The "normal human beings" in the show seem to mostly have an american/english accent, while other races have french, german and irish accents. It wasn't too noticable, atleast for me, until ep. 14 or so, with the blue french jedi and irish space monkeys. Almost skipped that episode entirely, only to run into a german death scientist a few episodes later. Of course they can't all sound the same, but to me it's just overdone and really cringy.

I guess to give this post a purpose other than complaining I'll ask if there are more stupid accent/race combos coming up in the show that I need to prepare for?

I mostly like the accents... or at least the idea of them, to suggest different languages and dialects throughout the galaxy. I agree it's a little TOO on the nose to have a straight French or Irish accent, I'd prefer them to muddy it up a little so they sound "exotic" rather than clearly from an identifiable country. (I did like the little blue pacifist Irish lemurs though!)

I find it more annoying though when they have a species which looks completely inhuman - like, would have completely different vocal chords - and then... it speaks with perfect English, like the fish-faced doctor from the Zillo Beast episodes in season 2. And to have the Geononosian bugs in Attack of the Clones, and elsewhere in The Clone Wars, always speak their native language which sounds impossible for a human to get their tongues around.... but the Queen in S2E7 can speak English? And in S2E08 a Clone troopers develops the ability to speak fluent Geonosian? Sure he's being controlled but that wouldn't give him the anatomy needed to speak the language.

It's about this time I should remind myself it's really a kids' TV show and I'm overthinking it...

To me, when the queen of the Geonoseans was speaking English, it made sense. She had the power of mind control, and so she was able to get into the heads of those who spoke different languages and learn them quickly. It wasn't perfect English either, you could tell that her biology was made for speaking her native tongue
