The end fight

I love this movie, I've seen it about 100 times. I've only recently noticed, however, that in the final fight with Ramses, his eagle powers finally kick in, don't they?

Ramses is out on the floor, and Nacho puts his hands over his head like he did when he jumped off the cliff after eating the eagle eggs. And then jumps off the turnbuckle and soars over to Ramses while the crowd watches, amazed.

Really, he's just inspired because of Encarnacion and the orphans. But it's like he finally gets his eagle powers, yes?

Absolutely. He was inspired and his "eagle powers" came from within himself.

The eagle egg was a lie for the very reason.

The nutrients were already inside him.

You are sin.

It's because he prayed, and got the idea to win the prize money to buy a bus for the orphans (then his robe caught on fire). Then, when he saw Incarnacion and the orphans at the match he harnessed the eagle powers. So I guess the message is, miracles can happen if you act selflessly. Although Nacho definitely had "unholy" thoughts about Sister Incarnacion, but who wouldn't?

He was inspired when the orphans turn up.

It's that man again!!
