What was your favourite aspect of Pan's Labyrinth?
For me it was the Greek myth-style fantasy elements (but specifically using costumes instead of cgi)

The visuals.
I fell in love with just how this movie looked. The scenery, the costumes, the creatures. The creatures were amazing, from the Fawn to the Paleman. They were all beautiful and frightening at the same time.
Can't stop the signal.
Fantastic, thanks. I happen totally agree :)
shareAdd cinematography. They way the camera moves, it makes you feel you are there. Navarro did an excellent work.
shareThe historical background. Most people would assume the Spanish Civil War was over by 1939, but the movie shows that as late as 1944 there were still groups of maquis fighting for their survival, and expecting help from the Allies that never came.
